Time to get back to blogging

Earlier this month, Phil was told by his employer of almost 40 years, Kodak, that his job and service is no longer needed. His last days will come eaither the end of November OR the end of February. Intially , "that sucks" response, then turns to what are our choices..

With a boat and camper .. hmmm and lots of time coming our way... How can we make this work???
much to look into and find out how to make this NEW ADVENTURE happen.

change is in the air

Earlier this month we got word from Kodak, after almost 40 years, that Phil's job and service to the company will no longer be needed. and his last days are either the end of Nov or possibly until the end of February. After the initial " that sucks " response, its time to look forward and see what our choiceses are... With a camper and boat at our use and open amount of time, the choice was clear.
Now, how do we prepare for this.. many steps to make to have this work with the FUN of a new adventure ahead.

Yesterday was a more laid back. We had a cabana for the day and watched the Super Bowl hopping from hotel to hotel. It was mostly sunny and hot. As Kate would say..."We get gotted a little sun burned". Tomorrow we board the pirate ship for snorkling.

It never rains in Aruba except when we're here. It started out nice in morning, but started raining about 11 AM and continued till dark. We had rented a Jeep for the day so we ventured out anyways. There was some major road flooding!! Good thing we had the 4 wheeler. Ended the night winning $35 in a nickel slot machine...and left with our winnings!!! Today is Superbowl Sunday. One of the hotels has erected a billboard in the water and will project the game on it...should be interesting.
